In this monumental lithograph (which is more than twice the size of its predecessor Diamondhead) we see the marvelous color palette of Dalí's oeuvre. Aesthetically pleasing and yet mysterious, in this work after Dalí's original watercolor of 1974, the viewer is presented with a brilliant array of images. Hidden in the work is the profile of a Lioness, a head of the Bull, the ghostly shadow of the figure of winged Mercury preparing to alight, a sea of butterflies and a menagerie of other creatures resplendent in their Dalínian bursts of rich color.
